Unjust treatment is being meted out to Punjab:Chief Minister

Lahore:Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif has said that due to inept policies of the federal government, the country is steeped in darkness and energy crisis. He said an unjust treatment is being meted out to Punjab with regard to loadshedding, which is intolerable. The Chief Minister congratulated the Punjab Assembly over the approval of Provincial Budget. He said the members of Pakistan Muslim League(N) participated and contributed a great deal in the process of preparation and approval of the budget.

Talking to media men at Punjab Assembly, Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif said that industries in Punjab are being closed due to long loadshedding and hundreds of labourers are becoming jobless. No one knows why the federal government is taking revenge from the workers, labourers, industrialists and people of Punjab, he wondered. Answering another question, Chief Minister said that present Prime Minister Raja Pervaiz Ashraf was extended whole hearted cooperation when he was Minister for Power to end energy crisis, but it proved in vain. Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif said he has no expectation from the new Prime Minister to end energy crisis.

Earlier, Members Provincial Assembly belonging to various districts called on the Chief Minister at his Assembly Chambers and informed him about ongoing development work being carried out in their respective areas and problems being faced by them . Those who met the Chief Minister included Saud Majeed, Baleegh-ur-Rehman, Rana Muhammad Arshad, Ch. Tariq Mehmood Bajwa, Abdul Razzaq Dhillon, Ahmed Khan Balouch and others. The Chief Minister also took part in the Assembly Session and congratulated the Provincial Finance Minister over the approval of the Punjab budget.
