Kaira gets portfolio of Information Ministry for third time

Islamabad:Secretary Information Pakistan Peoples Party Qamar Zaman Kaira was Friday given portfolio of Ministry of Information and Broadcasting after taking oath as federal minister in the cabinet of newly elected Prime Minister Raja Pervaiz Ashraf. Born on January 5, 1960 in Lala Musa,district Gujrat, Kaira served as Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting twice in the cabinet of Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani from 2008 to 2012. He also served as Federal Minister for Kashmir Affairs and Northern Areas and acting Governor of Gilgit-Baltistan. Kaira graduated from Forman Christian College University, and did his Masters of Arts (Philosophy) from University of the Punjab, Lahore. He also has a Masters degree in Political Science.
