Traders asks CM for Security

Jewelers meet CM

Lahore:A representative delegation of Ferozepur Road jewelers called on Punjab Chief Minister, Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif at Tent Office Minar-e-Pakistan, under the leadership of President Anjuman-e-Tajran Punjab Mehboob Ali Sirki, here today. Provincial Minister Ch. Abdul Ghafoor, Member Provincial Assembly Hafiz Mian Nauman, IG Punjab, Home Secretary and Chairman Jewelers Association Rana Mazhar Hussain were also present in the meeting.

Addressing the delegation, the Chief Minister said that the business community has always played a significant role in progress and prosperity of the country and, whenever the country has faced any catastrophe, traders have always helped their grief-stricken brethren generously. He said that solution of the problems being faced by businessmen and protection of their commercial activities is the foremost responsibility of the government. The Chief Minister directed IG Punjab to solve issues being faced by jewelers on priority basis, besides ensuring protection to their businesses. Shahbaz Sharif announced that he would soon meet traders of Lahore, jewelers and money exchange business individuals for consultation regarding provision of trained security guards in markets, installation of CCTV cameras and other security arrangements.

A trader, Haji Fazal Elahi, informed the Chief Minister about the murder of his only son, upon which the Chief Minister offered sincere condolence and assured that complete justice would be provided in this case, and the culprit would be brought before the court of law for deterrent punishment. Fateha for the departed soul was also offered during the meeting.
