Islamabad:Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif visited Embassy of Saudi Arabia in Islamabad today and condoled the sad demise of Saudi Crown Prince Nayef bin Abdul Aziz with Saudi Ambassador in Pakistan Muhammad Ibrahim Saleh Al-Ghadeer. The Chief Minister also offered condolences to the Saudi Ambassador on behalf of President Pakistan Muslim League-N Muhammad Nawaz Sharif and said that people of Pakistan especially Punjab are deeply grieved over the sad demise of Prince Nayef Bin Abdul Aziz. He prayed that may Allah Almighty rest the departed soul in eternal peace and grant forbearance to the royal family and people of Saudi Arabia to bear the irreparable loss.
While recording his views in the condolence book, the Chief Minister said that Crown Prince Nayef Bin Abdul Aziz was a great personality of Islamic world and displayed a brilliant blend of progress and tradition in Saudi Arabia. The Chief Minister recalled that the late crown prince had also played a very significant role in strengthening friendly and brotherly relations between people of Pakistan and Saudi Arabia. Later, while talking to media Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif said that people of Pakistan and Punjab have felt deep sorrow and grief over the sad demise of Crown Prince Nayef bin Abdul Aziz who was a highly revered personality of Islamic world and played an active role in the progress and prosperity of Saudi Arabia. He said that the late Crown Prince Nayef Bin Abdul Aziz had always helped Pakistan in the hour of trial and tribulations and especially during floods in Pakistan, the Crown Prince had sent medicines and relief goods to the affected people. Shahbaz Sharif welcomed the new Crown Prince Salman Bin Abdul Aziz and expressed the hope that he will further strengthen the existing bonds of friendship and brotherhood between Saudi Arabia and Pakistani people.
