Pak Army to continue rehabilitation work in SWA:COAS

South Waziristan Agency: Chief of Army Staff General Ashfaq Parvez Kayani Monday said that after flushing out terrorists and maintaining peace in South Waziristan, Pakistan Army is now carrying out rehabilitation and reconstruction work for the uplift of people of the area.While meeting the tribal elders after inauguration of a cadet college at Spinkai and Tank-Gomal-WANA road here, he said army did not want to initiate operations within the country. However, here it was to improve the situation and eliminate any chance of recurrence of terrorism in the area, he added.Responding to demand of the tribal elders that army should continue staying in their area for the benefit of the local people, he said army was deployed here on the demand of the locals and would remain present here till their wish and completion of development projects.
