Thokar Bus stand to be operational soon.:Jawad Rafique

Lahore: Commissioner Lahore Division Jawad Rafiq Malik has ordered to make the Thokar Niaz Baig general bus stand 100% operational. He was presiding over a meeting held to review the arrangements of Thokar Niaz Baig general bus stand at the Commissioner office here today.

He directed the DCO Lahore to shift the small van and coaster by providing route permit to them. So that problems faced by the small transporters could be solved and best facilities be provided to the commuters.
He directed the chief engineer LDA to construct an under pass or ramp for the smooth flow of traffic in the new bus stand. He also directed the LESSCO officers to make advance arrangements of generators in case of electricity failure.

He further directed the Administrator Larri adda to make sure the provision of portable water and other facilities for the commuters in new bus stands. He ordered the WASA authority to improve the sewerage system of new bus stand within two days. The meeting was attended by the DCO Lahore, CTO Lahore, EDO (W&S), AC (City), Administrator Larri Adda, Secretary DRTA, Dy. Manager LESSCO and officers of other departments concerned.
