Motorways Police starts Polio campgain

Lahore:Thousands of children travelling on highways remain unattended during administration of Polio vaccination campaigns and National Highways and Motorway Police is working vigorously to eradicate the menace of Polio from Pakistan in collaboration with UNICEF and Prime Minister Polio Eradication Program by making sure that no child travelling on highways is left without polio vaccination.

On the directions of Zonal Commander Nisar Saroya, N-5 Central Zone has launched four days polio vaccination campaign to assist the Polio Vaccination teams of Local DHO Offices. Zonal Commander N-5 Central SSP Nisar Soroya launched the campaign by personally administering polio drops to children at Guidance Center Lahore. On his direction special Polio camps have been established at all the Toll Plazas and other important places from Lahore to Rahim Yar Khan. NH&MP officers have been deputed on these camps to facilitate the polio teams and making sure that polio drops have been administered to all the travelling children. The zonal commander Nisar Saroya also visited different polio camps established on national highways. Keeping in view the current heat wave, he has ordered to place cold water not only in these camps but also in all the patrolling vehicles. He told the officers to work whole heartedly to make this campaign successful as assistance in conducting polio vaccination campaign will further improve the public friendly image of the force.
