Turkish investors Are welcome:Shahbaz Sharif

Lahore:Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif has said that there is strong bond of friendship between Turkey and Pakistan and the increasing trade cooperation is in the interest of the people of two countries. He said that Turk companies are working on different projects in Punjab and cooperation of Albayrak in the southern loop project of the ring road will be welcome.
He was talking to Turk delegation led by Noori Almalkialbayrak, Chairman Turk Company Albayrak here today. Solid waste management, metro bus service and ring road projects were discussed on the occasion. Chairman Lahore Transport Company Kh. Ahmed Hasaan, Secretary Communication and Works, Commissioner Lahore and Director General LDA were also present on the occasion. The Chief Minister said that the Punjab has completed northern section of Lahore Ring Road, and now wants to work on southern section of the project. He said that northern section of the ring road was completed expeditiously by working round the clock and is the unique example of transparency and high standard like other projects. He said that Punjab government wants to start work on the southern loop of ring road as soon as possible and after completion of this project commercial zones will also be set up along the ring road. He said that wastage of resources in the execution of development projects has been checked at every level. He said that the companies showing good performance in the execution of development projects are encouraged. He said that Albayrak should also consider cooperation in the construction of southern loop of the ring road like other projects. He appreciated the desire of the company to arrange aftaris for citizens and washing the mosques of the city with rose water and said that it will highly motivate the people to take part in the noble activities. The Chief Minister directed Commissioner to extend full cooperation to Turk Company for arranging aftaris for citizens and washing mosques of the city with rose water.

Chairman Turk Company Albayrak Noori Almalkialbayrak, said that it is a matter of pleasure for them to work jointly with the Punjab government. He said that earning money is not their aim but they are here to serve their brethren. He said that they will also consider extending cooperation in the project of southern loop of ring road after consultation with experts. The Chairman said that they have seen the northern part of ring road which is a masterpiece of architecture and the southern loop should also be the same. He expressed his desire to live here permanently due to the love and affection they received here. He said that they intend to wash the mosques of the city with rose water and arrange aftaris during sacred month of ramzan ul mubarak. He said that Lahore is a beautiful city and there are number of historical buildings here. He said that this city is the centre of culture and civilization.
