Lahore : The online education system, triggered by the COVID-19 pandemic, is providing opportunities for the co-creation of knowledge with more direct and close association of teachers, students and community, said by the University of Okara’s Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Muhammad Zakria Zakar while addressing to an online meeting of his faculty.
He told that with the active involvement and monitoring of parents, both
teachers and students had to behave more responsibly in e-learning
environment and the education administrators could evaluate the teachers’
performance more easily and effectively.
“In off-campus classes, teachers are providing more reading and audiovisual contents to students who are in continuous surveillance of their parents while being at homes. This system has improvised the interactions between teachers and students and teachers and parents”, said the VC.
Dr. Zakar also appraised his faculty for successfully conducting the mid-term examinations of the current semester through online resources and vowed to make the e-learning environment more effective by the adoption of sophisticated information technologies and capacity building of the teachers.
According to the university spokesperson, the UO is going to announce the
admissions for Fall 2020 in next month and all the admissions will be done
online as it happened in previous year.
