Traffic police issue ticket to 150 k on violation of Lock Down

Lahore : Traffic police have issued tickets to more than 150 thousands drivers on violation of Lock Down. The Chief Traffic Officer Syed Hammad Abid said that police have to impose strict action as a lot of people came out of their houses unnecessarily to celebrate the weekend.

As many as one lakh 51 thousands and 228 vehicles were challaned ,24 thousands and 930 motorist were issued warnings 9 thousands and 14 vehicles were impounded at various police stations whereas 4995 motorists were released on their undertaking that they will follow the lock down.

14847 challan ticket were issued to car drivers on violation of pillion riding , 31 FIRs were lodged against public transport on violations whereas 1 lakh 24 thousands and 149 bikers were challaned on pillion ridings.

The CTO himself visited Lorri Ada , Ravi Road , Shahdara , and Lower Mall to inspect Traffic and directed wardens to contain minimum traffic .

SSP Hammad Abid asked the people to observe lock down for their own safety.
