PEC Accredeted LCWU 3 batches of Electrical Engineering

Lahore : The Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) has finally accredited BE Electrical Engineering batches 2014-2018,2015-2019 &2016-2020.
This is the first time in the history of LCWU that 3 batches got accreditation from Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) simultaneously.

To meet the PEC criterion, Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Bushra Mirza recruited qualified staff and upgraded the laboratories.
Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Bushra Mirza says this is the effort to support female students in the country to mainstream them in the development process as envisioned for sustainable development.

She said education in the areas of Engineering would empower women through knowledge and skill to contribute purposefully in the economic development of the country and to enable them to become responsible citizens.

The above-mentioned sessions of Electrical Engineering Department will be getting accredited degrees. The process for accreditation with PEC was initiated after the appointment of Permanent vice-chancellor.

Dean Faculty of Engineering and Technology, Prof. Dr Intesar Ahmed said,” future of these students was on stake for the last two years, because of the shortage of faculty members, Lab Engineers, lab supervisor, lab equipment & others administration matters.

However, it is worth mentioning that all credit goes to the remarkable leadership of Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr Bushra Mirza who catered this matter on priority and solved the accreditation issue within a very short time which was incredibly phenomenal and saved the future of Engineering students because without registration number from (PEC) students are not eligible to apply for any professional job of their field. Her contribution is incredible as she placed the matters of accreditation councils on top priority and conducted Selection Board for appointments of required faculty as well provision of required infrastructure and other facilities.’ He added.

The students appreciated the effort & interest taken by the university’s Vice-chancellor in resolving the longstanding issue.
