EMRA announced protest schedule on non payment of salaries

Lahore : Journalist Unions announced protest schedule on non payment of salaries to media house workers.

Lahore Press Club governing body condemned holding of salaries ,terming it barbaric act and announced that no media house would be allowed to cover any event in Press Club which is not paying salaries to its staff.

The governing body warned the management of News One ,Star Asia , Public News ,7 News and other media houses to pay dues and salaries to staff within current week or get ready to face the results.

President EMRA Asif Butt while addressing the owners of News One Tahir Anwar Khan , Public News Yosaf Baig Mirza , Star Asia Ghazi Babar , Capital News Ahmad Riaz Sheikh ,Royal News Khizar Hayat Wattoo , Punjab News Zafar Iqbal Sindhu , Nawa-i-Waqt Group Rameeza Nizami asked them to pay salaries and dues till Friday otherwise they will stage protest outside these media house and rotten eggs tomatos would be pelted upon them.

The EMRA President said any media house which will not pay salaries to its staff will not be allowed to cover any press conference and event in the city and logos will be throw out from the event. He said journalist are demanding their right not begging any charity.
