16 newly born babies died at District Hospital Sahiwal

Lahore : Atleast 16 newly born babies have been died of heat at Children ward of District Hospital Sahiwal due to extreme loadshedding during the heatwave continue in the province.

The victims families staged protest upon these deaths to register their anger and grieve, who were disperssed by the police .

They protesters claimed that they were not told how the kids died and forcibly ousted from the hospital by the administration and later police baton charged them on protesting.

PML-N vice president Maryam Nawaz has condemned the grave irresponsibility shown by the hospital administration and demanded minister health to immediate resign. She said in tweet that though hospital administration accepted death of only five babies but everyone doubted on it
