Over 2000 students of DPS come on road against adulteration

Lahore : The Punjab Food Authority (PFA) in collaboration with Divisional Public School (DPS) arranged an awareness walk and a seminar in connection with World Health Day. The purpose of the event was to aware citizens about the importance of good food in the life of the human.

The event was attended by PFA Director General Captain (R) Muhammad Usman as a chief guest and DPS Principal Muhammad Abdul Naeem Khan. As many as 2000 students, teachers, nutritionists and people from different walks of life have participated. PFA has arranged posters and lunch box ideal competitions for students and distributed certificates and sachets amongst winners.

The walk was started from DPS Boys School and peacefully concluded to reach the starting point. Students were carrying banners and placards in their hands on which inscribed different slogans for the public awareness such as Healthy Students Progressive Action, Our Children Our Future, Healthy Students Healthy Nation, Eat Well to Live Well and others.

Dr. Tanveer Zubari and Shifa Ali shed light on the selection of hygienic and perfect diet. They said that the purpose of today event was highlighted the significance of food safety as an important global public health in this symposium. Principal Muhammad Abdul Naeem Khan said that PFA is fighting with the enemy of the public health by giving awareness to people day and night. He has applauded the PFA work regarding aware citizens about the selection of a healthy nutritious diet.

DG said that PFA is taking bold steps for the safety of public health and to ensure the provision of and safe food in the market. He said that children and our future and it is our utmost priority to keep them healthy.
