Ombudsperson Punjab kicked out a clerk of Education Department on harassing a lady teacher

Lahore : Ombudsperson Punjab, decided a complaint of harassment at workplace against a clerk of the Education Department. 

The clerk has been awarded a major penalty of compulsory retirement over the complaint of sexual harassment lodged by a headmistress of a government school. The complainant of harassment at the workplace had alleged that the said clerk had been sending him objectionable pictures and videos.

The harasser was resorted to sexual harassment by way of his conduct and had also misused his authority in retaliation against the complainant. With the active support of authorities at the district level by continuous unwarranted interferences in complainant’s administrative work. The allegations stood proved against the harasser and a major penalty was awarded to the accused by Ombudsperson Punjab.
