Lahore : Spokesperson of Industry & Trade Punjab has said that interest free loans have been provided to skilled men and women by Punjab Small Industry Corporation for embroidery work, chapel making and Baluchi Crafts trade and cluster in order to promote local handcraft industry besides generating new job opportunities.
The spokesperson further maintained that a comprehensive awareness campaign was launched before initiating interest-free loan scheme in Taunsa Sharif, its suburbs and especially in tribal areas for benefiting the maximum number of male and female from this scheme.
Applications were received from the applicants in sub-district development office Taunsa Sharif before the formal launch of interest-free loan scheme. Record of the applicants was maintained and approval committee approved loans on the basis of a record.
After the approval of loans, all the procedure were completed according to rules and regulations and cheques of worth Rs. 1,06,00,000/- were distributed among 102 applicants. All the loans have been distributed on merit, the spokesman concluded.
