Lahore: DIG Operations Lahore Muhammad Waqas Nazir has said that all the Police Stations of the city will soon be provided additional force comprising around three thousand Policemen as well as motorcycles and other resources on rationalized basis to solve the problems of patrolling in different beats to control crime.
He fixed date of 20th February for all the SHOs of the division to meet the target of at least 10 percent arrests of overall Proclaimed Offenders of “B” category in their respective areas.
He also directed SP Cantt Division Shehbaz Elahi to issue show cause notices to the SHOs with continuous poor performance and negligence in capturing the B category Proclaimed Offenders.
He further directed all the SDPOs and SHOs to take strict action against the crimes of motorcycle theft, illegal weapons, burglary and narcotics. All SDPOs should review the performance of their concerned SHOs, crime control situation and do necessary tasking to arrest Proclaimed and Target Offenders.
DIG Operations Lahore Muhammad Waqas Nazir appreciated the performance of SHO Hayer Abid Hussain for meeting the target of arresting the Proclaimed Offenders of “B” category. He also declared the performance of SHO Manawan Munir Ahmad and SHO Bata Pur Intikhab Hussain comparatively better in respect of crime control in their beats.
Muhammad Waqas Nazir said that abusive language with subordinates and misbehavior with the complainants and general public spoils all the good performance of Police department. Therefore all Police Officers and officials including SPs, DSPs and SHOs should treat their subordinates and citizens politely and deal with criminals according to the law. Strict disciplinary action will be taken against the officers and officials on misbehave and use of abusive language. Immediate senior officers will be held responsible for the bad behavior of their subordinate staff.
He directed SP Cantt to report any SDPOs, SHOs or other subordinates with the tendency of misbehavior so that they could be removed from their present place of posting. All the Police Stations have been provided with the comprehensive information and data regarding the top habitual criminals of the areas as crime can only be controlled by chasing and arresting these offenders.
