Lahore : The officer of Motorway Police central zone embraced martyrdom while saving the life and property of road users.
As per details Patrol Officer Muhammad Saeed was securing scene of accident after collision of vehicles due to dense in area of Beat 19 Basti Malook, Mulatan Sector. While the officer was placing reflecting cones and amber light at accident site, a bus hit him from the rear resulting in severe injuries to the officer.
The officer was immediately shifted to nearby hospital where he could not survive the injuries and embraced martyrdom as a result. Martyred Muhammad Saeed was resident of Chah Shaheedan Wala, District Bhakar.
Sector Commander Multan Atif Shahzad reached on spot and supervise the rescue activities both on accident spot and hospital. The martyred officer left a one year old daughter and a widow. The body of martyred officer was sent to his native town in Bakhar after offering his funeral at Motorway Police Lines Headquarter in Multan.
At this occasion DIG Central Zone Ahmad Arslan Malik said that the martyred Patrol Officer Muhammad Saeed was a professional, honest and brave police officer and he will do his utmost to look after his bereaved family.
DIG Ahmad Arslan Malik further said that the department never forgets the service of officers who embrace martyrdom in the line of duty and it has been top priority of this department to look after educational, financial and other issues of their families.
