Lahore : Punjab Sports Minister Rai Taimoor Khan Bhatti and Director General Sports Punjab Nadeem Sarwar have expressed their heartfelt condolence on the demise of Pakistan’s former female cricket player Sharmeen Khan and mother of Test cricketers Kamran Akmal, Umar Akmal and Adnan Akmal.
In a joint condolence message on Friday, Punjab Sports Minister Rai Taimoor Khan Bhatti and DG Sports Punjab Nadeem Sarwar prayed that Almighty Allah may shower His blessings upon the departed souls and grant courage to their family members to bear their reparable loss with equanimity.

It may be recalled here that Sharmeen and her sister Shaiza launched Pakistan Women’s Cricket Control Association in the mid-90s. Sharmeen represented Pakistan in two Tests and 26 One-day International matches as a right-arm medium fast bowler.
