Professor Khalid Mehmood returned back home

Lahore : Professor of Neurosurgery Unit II Punjab Institute of Neurosciences (PINS), Lahore General Hospital, Dr. Khalid Mehmood returned back at home after participation in two days International Experts Forum on Deep Brain Simulation methods (DBS) held in Istanbul Turkey.

Participants from Turkey, central Asian states, Middle East, Africa and Europe attended the international event and exchanged their experience about deep Brain Stimulation surgery for Parkinson disease and Dystonia.

Prof. khalid Mahmood is the pioneer of DBS surgery in Pakistan on 30^thOctober, 2014 and took a lead among many countries of the Region for such a high end and technically demanding venture.

He informed that medical experts are busy in research and near future further advancements in medical sciences will be introduced which help in digging out new solutions / procedures for complicated diseases like Parkinson and Dystonia.
