Siraj Ul Haq takes oath from newly elected JI KPK chief

Lahore : Ameer, Jamaat e Islami, Pakistan, Senator Siraj ul Haq, has said that Allah Almighty had blessed Pakistan with unlimited resources of men and material but when its rulers deviated from the ideology on which this country had come into being, Allah imposed the clouds of hunger and fear over it.

He was speaking at the oath taking ceremony of the newly elected chief of JI Khyber P. Senator Mushtaq Ahmed and JI district chief, Peshawar Attique Ahmed, at Al-Markaz Peshawar.

Sirajul Haq said that despite having vast resources of minerals, rivers, fertile land and talented youth, Pakistan was under heavy debt.  He said the country’s economy was facing a serious crisis and added that till the time the Islamic system was introduced, the economy could not improve.

He said that a Muslim leadership that drifted away from Deen and morality, inevitably thrust a corrupt system leading towards poverty, unemployment and injustice. He said that the parliament in an Islamic country was not free like the western states, but was constrained to remain within the limits laid down by the Quran and the Sunnah.

He said the PTI leadership was talking of the state of Madina but it had not taken a single step in that direction during the last two months. He said that the government should have given a long term plan to solve the economic crisis but it was not in sight. He said the IMF and the World Bank had never helped any country to develop.

He said the country had faced dictatorial rule for more than three decades besides so called democratic governments but all of them had no programme except going to the IMF and the World Bank.

The JI chief said that the democracy would get roots only when the institutions became stronger than individuals. He said that the parties having undemocratic and dictatorial outlook had done the greatest harm to the democratic system in the country. He said that if the politics and democracy continued revolving around personalities, the country and the nation won’t gain anything.

Sirajul Haq said that there was no grouping in the JI and any change in it came only through democratic system.  He further said that the Khyber P. province would be the vanguard for an Islamic revolution in the country.

The ceremony was attended by provincial JI leaders including its General Secretary Abdul Wasay, and provincial deputy chiefs.
