Every citizen will have to pay the tax in new Pakistan : Hafiz Mumtaz Ahmad

Lahore : Provincial Minister Excise and Taxation Hafiz Mumtaz Ahmad has said that every citizen will have to pay the tax for the new Pakistan and role of Provincial Excise Department is very important in this regard.

These views were expressed by him during a surprise visit at Excise and Taxation Divisional Office Sahiwal today.

Officers and field staff should actively perform the duties for recovery of provincial revenues for expanding the tax base so that receiving amount can be spent on the national development and prosperity.

Hafiz Mumtaz Ahmad said that present government will provide all out resources to the Excise Department so they can actively play their due role for the recovery of provincial taxes. He said that black sheep and corrupt elements will not be tolerated in the department.

He further maintained that culture of transparency will be promoted in the department.

Later, Minister listen the problems of the people issued direction for their solution.
