Lahore : Speaker Punjab Assembly Ch Pervaiz Elahi has said that all projects of our previous tenure including construction of Gujrat-Lahore Motorway and establishment of foreign universities will be completed Insha-Allah. The journey of progress where stopped will be resumed , problems of businessmen and traders will be solved on preferential basis .
He said this while addressing a function after inaugurating export Display Centre Phase 11 and distributing First Achievement Awards of Gujrat Chamber of Commerce and Industry today (Sunday. He distributed medals and shields among the former presidents of the Chamber and those showing excellence in performance.
Ch Pervaiz Elahi said that we had provided funds and place for Gujrat Chamber during Pakistan Muslim League tenure, I am happy that you people have highlighted name of Gujrat throughout the world, as Chief Minister I had introduced projects like Sundar Industrial Estate Lahore, Faisalabad Garments City, Multan Industrial Estate, these projects are making headway quite successfully, project of Lahore-Gujrat Motorway and establishment of German and Swedish Universities on it could not be accomplished due to incompetency of the previous government, now I will endeavour for establishing another industrial estate in Gujrat, patients are seeking mercy of Almighty All over miserable conditions in the hospitals in the Punjab by the previous government, there were mountains of corruption which ever institution the Chief Justice of Supreme Court had visited.
He said that fan, pottery and furniture industry in Gujrat has made tremendous progress; we had solved their problems on priority basis.
On this occasion, Chamber President Ali Asghar Ghumman said that we are grateful to Ch Pervaiz Elahi for giving grant and place for the Chamber and will cooperate in the establishment of the industrial estate. He said that is Sialkot-Jalalpur Jattan Road is widened and made dual carriageway it can serve as the motorway.
Ch Pervaiz Elahi gave away medals and shields to Shafiqur Rehman, Iftikhar Dewan, Tariq Bilal, Sh Ibrar, Ansar Ghumman, Ch Amjad Farooq, Ashfaq Ahmad Razi, Sh Ibrar Saeed, Haji Muhammad Afzal, Haji Muhammad Ilyas, Mian Muhammad Ejaz, Usman Muzaffar, Qamar Zaman and Aneela Pervaiz.
Those present on this occasion included Mian Imran Masood, Nadeem Akhtar Malhi, Tariq Daraji, Bobby Pehalwan and Sajid Manzoor among other leaders.
