Lahore : Senior Minister Punjab Abdul Aleem Khan has said that practice of getting and utilizing of government budget is to be changed and it is the need of the hour that departments should ensure participation of private sector through which they can minimize their developmental expenses.
He said that especially such projects having direct access of masses should be prioritized for involvement of business entrepreneurs and multinational companies.
Senior Minister expressed these views while presiding over meetings of Livestock, Industries and different departments.
He said that tall targets have to be set in the first 100 days on which implementation would be ensured in the coming years for which national institutions will have to bring new policies. He emphasized that to ensure the austerity and savings in each field everyone will have to play role.
Abdul Aleem Khan said that for elimination of corruption, wastage of funds and to use public exchequer metacously there should be strict vigilance.
The Senior Minister directed the senior officers of the departments to prepare concrete proposals and suggestions for the uplift of public sector organizations.
Senior Minister Abdul Aleem Khan told that first round of consultation with departments has completed and from September 17 next phase of discussion would take place in which apart from Secretary of the Department, Chief Secretary will also be attending the meeting so that comprehensive recommendations could be prepared for the 100 days’ plan.
Abdul Aleem Khan said that as per the vision of the Prime Minister Imran Khan devolution of power to the lower level would be ensured.
He said that in the biggest province of Pakistan, Punjab the 70 years’ long system has failed to deliver and now we have to revamp in every sector. He asked the officers to work with full zeal and fervor and assured them full support and cover, as well.
Senior Minister reviewed different matters of Livestock and Industries Departments and asked them to prepare new strategy to work in the changing scenario.
He said that in every department matters would reviewed on permanent basis and his meetings with different departments are also being held in this connection.
