PM Imran Khan met Punjab cabinet and secretaries

Lahore : Prime Minister Imran Khan today met with the members of Punjab Provincial Cabinet and provincial secretaries at CM Secretariat in Lahore.
Chief Minister Punjab Sardar Usman Buzdar warmly welcomed the Prime Minister on behalf of the Provincial Cabinet and reaffirmed the commitment to implement PTI’s reforms and development agenda of Naya Pakistan.
Prime Minister Imran Khan felicitated the members of the Punjab Provincial Cabinet on assuming their portfolios and said that huge responsibility lies on their shoulder as Punjab is the biggest province of the country in terms of population.
The Prime Minister stated that the performance of the Punjab government should be a trend setter for rest of the provinces.
Discussing various reforms with the Cabinet members, the Prime Minister said that elimination of corrupt practices is one of the biggest challenge in Punjab. The Prime Minister stressed that the Cabinet members should make it their first priority to identify corrupt practices and take strict action against the corrupt elements.
Prime Minister Imran Khan expressed serious concern over land grabbing and encroachments in the province of Punjab in general and Lahore in particular. The Prime Minister directed that mafias and big groups who have been involved in encroachments and land grabbing must be taken to task. The Prime Minister directed the Chief Minister to immediately launch anti encroachment drive and action against land grabbers, and assured his fullest support to the provincial government in this regard.
The Prime Minister emphasized upon the need of austerity and simplicity, and said that the Cabinet members should set the example while remaining at the forefront to remove extravagance on taxpayer’s money at all levels. We must invest on human development while rationalising our expenditures simultaneously with austerity and simplicity because Pakistan has the lowest Human Development Index in the region.
The Prime Minister urged the provincial cabinet to work tirelessly for implementation of 100 Days Agenda of the present government to bring a visible change in the socio-economic spheres of our people’s lives. The Prime Minister said that he would be frequently visiting the province and will remain at the forefront to oversee the First 100 Days Agenda.
The Cabinet members also shared their ideas and proposals, concerning their departments, with the Prime Minister.
Earlier, the Prime Minister held a meeting with Chief Minister Punjab Sardar Usman Buzdar upon arrival at CM Secretariat.
Prime Minister Imran Khan also planted a sapling upon arrival at Chief Minister Secretariat in Lahore.
