NAB arrest PML-N candidate from NA -59

Lahore : NAB has arrested PML-N candidate from NA-59 Rawalpindi , Engineer Raja Qamar ul Islam and former CEO Clean Water Company Waseem AJmal . They would be produced today in NAB Court.

Engineer Raja Qamar ul Islam was given yesterday party ticket to contest elections against Ch Nisar Ali Khan.He was charged with the allegations to give contract of 84 water treatment plants on high rates by forging the biddings.

These water treatment plants were supposed to install in 4 Towns Hasilpur ,Minchinabad , Khanpur and Lodhran.

He also gave contracts to KSB Pumps company on high rates as an incharge procurement committee.

The accused Waseem Ajmal reportedly made changes in the documents of Clean Water Company against the Rules & Regulations and gave contract to install water treatment plan in Dunyapur which was not included in the contract. He paid the rent of a building for office without taking possession.

PML-N has condemned the arrest of Raja Qamar ul Islam ,terming his arrest as pre-poll rigging . The spokesperson of the party Maryam Aurangzeb said in a statement that just before a month of general elections ,PML-N candidate’s arrest is highly unfair and injustice which will damage his political worth and good fame .

PML-N would take this matter to ECP , she added.
