Lahore : Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif strongly criticized those who got their heavy loans waived off during the ceremony of Chief Minister’s Self Employment Scheme at Aiwan-e-Iqbal here today and termed it as a mega crime with the nation.
He termed those who have returned back their loans as daughters and sons of the nation. He also criticized the politicians involved in corruption and said that such politicians nowadays talk about corruption with banner headlines.
On this occasion, he said that he does not talk to show-off but it is reality that the people in Punjab have been fully served. It was not any benefaction but was our responsibility. Around 65 billion rupees have been saved in orange line train project and 150 billion rupees have also been saved in Gas Power Projects.
He paid tributes to the people of Lahore for not attending the PTI meeting and said that they have taken revenge from the PTI for delaying the development projects. He also criticized Asif Zardari and Imran Khan for failing to serve in their provinces.
Dr. Amjad Saqib said that it is the largest interest-free loan programme in the whole world and the ratio of loans’ return is 99.9 percent. Nobody from Chief Minister’s Office or from anywhere else ever recommended anybody for the grant of loan and the credit of it goes to Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif.
