Lahore : Chief Minister Punjab Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif inaugurated national history museum at Greater Iqbal Park today . He visited in detail the national history museum and went to all sections of the museum. Chief Minister expressed his pleasure for projecting the freedom movement in a modern way and appreciated the performance of citizens of Pakistan and authorities of concerned departments. Oscar award winning Pakistan filmmaker Sharmeen Obaid Chinoy gave briefing to Chief Minister regarding Pakistan Movement in museum.
Chief Minister listened to the Pakistan Resolution through headphone. He also read the letters written by Jinnah and Gandhi and are preserved in the museum. He also visited the gallery displaying the pictures of heroes of Pakistan Movement.
He viewed the 3D film of Pakistan movement in railway carriage and appreciated the organizers. He examined the first Pakistani passport and took his snapshot with portraits of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah and his companions.
Oscar award winning Pakistan film maker Sharmeen Obaid Chinoy, in her speech, said that completion of national history museum could be made possible due to the visionary leadership of Shahbaz Sharif as he always provided guidance at every occasion.
Commissioner Lahore Division Abdullah Sumbal and DG PHA Mian Shakeel also addressed the ceremony. Provincial Ministers Mujtaba Shuja ur Rehman, Ch. Sher Ali, member of Tehreek-e-Pakistan Prof. Rafiq Ahmed, Yosaf Salauddin, Chief Secretary, members of the assembly and a large number of citizens were also present on the occasion.
