Lahore : The Institute of Cost and Management Accountants of Pakistan (ICMA Pakistan) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Pakistan-China Joint Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCJCCI) for mutual collaboration in trainings, research and technical support.
The MoU was signed in a ceremony held at ICMA Pakistan Campus, Lahore.
Zia ul Mustafa, President, ICMA Pakistan and S. M. Naveed, President, Pak-China Joint CCI signed the MoU on behalf of their organizations; whereas Muhammad Yasin, Honorary Treasurer and Chairman, Research & Publications Committee of ICMA Pakistan and Mr. Muhammad Salahuddin Hanif, Secretary General, Pak-China Joint CCI signed as witnesses. Syed Ali Asjad Rizvi, Chairman Lahore Branch Council of ICMA Pakistan and other members of Lahore Branch Council were also present on the occasion.
The MoU signify an understanding from both sides to collaborate in areas of common interest; including exchange of information and publications; joint initiatives for training and development and joint projects for the benefit of professional, businessmen and citizens of Pakistan and China. Under the agreement, PCJCCI shall also be providing Chinese language instructors to ICMA Pakistan.
It is expected that signing of MoU would bring mutual benefits to both the organizations. The Pak-China JCCI can utilize the technical and professional expertise of CMAs for the efficient running of Chinese projects being set up in Pakistan under CPEC and on the other hand, ICMA Pakistan can take advantage by arranging Chinese language classes for its members and students, in addition to organizing joint seminars, training and research on potential sectors for investment by Chinese companies in Pakistan. Other areas of collaboration would be explored by mutual consultation for the benefit of both the countries.
