Motorways Police is service-oriented force : DIG Ahmad Arslan Malik

Lahore : Deputy Inspector General, National Highways & Motorway Police Ahmad Arslan Malik said that the officers of National Highways & Motorway Police are known by their distinctive traits like; lawful earnings, honesty, courtesy, help to distress and equal application of law.

NH&MP is service-oriented force and provision of prompt help to the distressed road users is the hallmark of the department.

In future, we have to face the challenges related to CPEC and others. Better-motivated and dedicated Motorway Police is need of hour.

He was addressing to officers in Police Ijlas Aam (Police Darbar) at Beat 20 of central zone. SSP Ghulam Jaffer and police officials were also present on the occasion.

DIG Ahmad Arslan Malik said suggestions and working plan is under consider increasing the amenities and facilities of Motorway Police. Monthly rest of motorway police would also be enhanced along with special pay package and others benefits for officials and officers in order to enhance the better professional working of department.

DIG said that honesty and courtesy to road users is identity of officials, which is a precious asset of motorway police. He added that every officer should protect this asset.

He directed patrolling officers to ensure strict enforcement of law on motorways. He said that no underage and without license driver would be allowed to travel on motorways and at highways.

The DIG Ahmad Arslan Malik also ordered to ensure equal application of law irrespective of one’s status.

He said that immediate help be extended to the road users in distress and special care should be given to the patients, old age persons, ladies and children.

He advised them to make the NHMP as model institution in Asia with their good behavior and courtesy. He laid stress on quick response to Helpline 130 calls.

DIG Ahmad Arslan Malik Malik said, “We will further raise the confidence of the people in the department.”

He appreciated the sacrifices of the martyrs and said that their sacrifices for the success of NH&MP would never be neglected. He also offered Dua for the police martyrs during the Darbar.

The NH&MP  DIG also listened to the problems faced by the officers and issued instructions to redress their grievances.
