Mandi Bahauddin ( Sher Gondal) : Prize giving ceremony of Rangers Public School & College Mandi Bahauddin 2017 was held Rangers Hall on 08 March 2018 with the principal of the college Lt Col (R) Rana Maqsood in the chair.
Commandant Pakistan Rangers Academy Col Muhammad Asghar Khan Niazi was the chief guest at the function. The Rangers Hall was nicely decorated and festooned with lights.
The elite of the city including Principal Government Post Graduate College Muhammad Akram, Principal District Jinnah Public School and College Col (R) Javed Naeemi, Principal Fauji Foundation School, Principal Naval Foundation School, President Pakistan Ex-Servicemen Society Mandi Bahauddin Chapter, Major (R) Sher Muhammad Gondal, Station Manager FM 98 Radio Mandi Bahauddin Major (R) Javed, Ranger officers, students and parents mustered strong on the occasion.
The college principal briefly touched upon the academic achievement and provision new and improved of facilities conducive to environment for studies for faculty members and students. He said last year 24 students secured 90 and above percentage marks in Intermediate exam.
There are 20 rangers’ colleges at different cities in Punjab. Ten students from these colleges showing excellent academic performance are given cash awards of thirty two thousand each and among them this year 6 students were from Mandi Bahauddin Rangers College. This was great honor for this college, he claimed. In debate competition at Punjab level held at Lahore; three students of his college participated and captured third position. They were awarded trophy.
He said impressed by excellent performance of students in secondary and higher secondary exams of the previous years the Commandant vary graciously approved cash awards for them and their teachers.
Mrs. of Col Asghar gave away cash awards to female students and the chief guest distributed awards among male students. The commandant also presented awards to faculty members.
Speaking on the occasion, the chief guest congratulated students for showing excellent performance. He also extended greetings to teachers and parents on securing more than 90% and above marks by their students and wards. He said for better grooming of students parental cooperation was essential.
He said he hoped that in future this cooperation between teachers and parents would continue to enable students to further achieve higher standards in academics.
It was earnest endeavor of the college administration to provide and maintain suitable environment for promoting education and other curricular activities for enhancing knowledge and building character of students, he added.
