Lahore: The chief justice of Pakistan Justice Saqib Nisar has strongly admonished DIG Rifat Mukhtar and directed NAB to check his accounts and assests.
During the hearing of drugs case , Drug Regulatory Authority chief blamed that DIG Rifat threatened his staff to save his relative who is an owner of fake drugs company.
The CJP reprimanded the DIG and become furious upon his intervene with the request he should be given a chance to state his version.The DIG said he is arespectful man on the deniel of CJP to listen him and commented ” You have no respect”, but he did not become silent and everyman has respect.
CJP Saqib Nisar rebuffed him and said don’t argue with the court and ordered for his suspension but later the took back the order of suspension and directed to appear before court on 8th of March in Lahore.
DIG Rifat Mukhtar claimed that he did not harass anyone and the allegations levelled on him were wrong.
