Lahore : Punjab Minister for Law & Parliamentary Affairs, Rana Sana Ullah Khan has said that the Talash Alert System (TAS) prepared for the protection of the children will be linked up with information technology.
The App of TAS will be built in our mobiles and will be recognized by PTA. In this connection the boundary mapping of all the police stations of the province has been completed. A fool proof mechanism will also be introduced to stop irresponsible use of the said App and fake alerts.
The concerned police officer will be duty bound to certify the received alerts within specified period. Internet Crime Control Units will also be established in police stations on the lines of cyber crime wing in FIA.
He was presiding over a meeting regarding safeguarding children at Civil Secretariat, here today. The Chairperson Child Protection Welfare Bureau, Saba Sadiq was also present in the meeting.
All the three subcommittees presented their suggestions before the Chair regarding safeguarding children. Rana Sana Ullah Khan said that the Punjab Govt. is trying its best to safeguard children in the light of CM vision. He said that protecting children is not only the responsibility of the Govt. but society as a whole is also responsible for this.
Minister Law maintained that the location of the message received in TAS will be traceable. He said that TAS could be able to open through web as well. He said that after complete scrutiny by the police the alert will be sent to the public. Rana Sana Ullah Khan directed the participants of the meeting that while preparing suggestions human attitudes and surrounding circumstances must be kept in their minds.
He was told that the six lac booklets named “Mehfooz Bachay-Mazboot Pakistan” had been distributed throughout the province including 70 thousand mosques.
Rana Sana Ullah Khan said that legislation for the regulation of investigative reporting will also be made.
