Lahore : Pakistan Standards and Quality Control Authority (PSQCA) seized another two illegal food brands taking huge quantity of products into custody on Wednesday.
According to PSQCA officials, On directions of Federal Minister for Science and Technology Rana Tanveer Hussain, Director General Khalid Siddiq ordered the task force to take strict action against illegal brands.
On which special task force raided different areas of the city including Kot Lakhpat and Harbanspura and founds famous Dawn Bread was using Pakistan Standard (PS) Mark illegally.
The teams seized huge quantity of prepared stock and barred the company to stop selling productions.
The production unit was preparing rusk, buns, burger buns, paratha bread, bread and cup cakes illegaly.
On the other hand, the team also sealed Dali Foods which was preparing honey, iodized salt, turmeric powder and red chilli without having PSQCA license.
The team seized huge quantity of prepared food products on the spot.
Director General PSQCA ordered the task force to continue the action against illegal brands of water and foods adding that strict action would be taken against the companies involved in preparing substandard and illegal food items.
He said that special teams have been formed to check illegal brands which would visit different markets.
He said that on directions of Federal Minister Rana Tanveer Hussain, no illegal brand would be permitted to continue business and the PSQCA would never allow the companies to use PS Mark illegally.
