SBP will organize Punjab Inter-Divisional U-16 (Boys) Hockey Championship

Lahore : Secretary Sports Punjab Muhammad Amir Jan said that Sports Board Punjab (SBP) will organize Punjab Inter-Divisional U-16 (Boys) Hockey Championship in April this year.

Secretary Sports Punjab Muhammad Amir Jan made this announcement at a key meeting at National Hockey Stadium on Wednesday.

The meeting was attended by Director Sports Muhammad Anees Sheikh, Divisional Sports Officer Multan, Rana Nadeem Anjum, Director Domestic Development PHF Olympian Naveed Alam, Secretary Punjab Hockey Association Lt-Col (Retd) Asif Naz Khokhar, senior coach Shahid Nizami and all divisional sports officers of the province.

Addressing the meeting, Secretary Sports Punjab Muhammad Amir Jan said Pakistan has plenty of hockey talent and the Punjab Inter-Divisional U-16 (Boys) Hockey Championship will be a suitable platform for promising hockey players of the province to show their talent.

“Sports Board Punjab will continue to provide such opportunities to youth of the province in future as well,” he added.

Secretary Sports Punjab Muhammad Amir Jan informed that top players from all the divisions of the province will take part in the championship.
