Lahore : Punjab Food Authority Vigilance Cell caught red handed a fake PFA Licensing Officer named Faryad Ali and put him behind the bars after registering a case against his in the Muslim Town Police Station here on Monday.
According to details, he was involved into fraud cases after leaving job on the post of ‘Data Entry Operator’ on daily wages from PFA for last several months. However, he was minting money to show himself as a Licensing Officer in regulatory authority from innocent people for coming in PFA to get food licenses and other matters.
PFA Spokesperson Hafiz Qaiser said that PFA’s repute was damaged in public due to Faryad act. While several complaints were received also against him, on which DG PFA Noor ul Amin Mengal gave a task to track this person.
He further said that DG has strictly passed instructions to concerned officers for taking action against such people. PFA is utilizing all available resources to avoid such happenings in order to ensure the transparency in PFA.
He said that PFA is not only keeping check and balance on food safety issues but also monitoring the activities of their employees. Police registered a case on the application of PFA under the section 420 and 170, he added.
