Shahbaz Sharif address a public rally in Malakwal ,announce development projects

Mandi Bahauddin (Sher Gondal) : Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif visited Malakwal today. He inaugurated project of building new road bridge over river Jhelum and laid the foundation stone.

Addressing a big public meeting at railway ground, the CM said this is the same ground where in 2013 elections he had addressed the public and made promises to change people’s destiny. He said he had fulfilled all those promises. Dual highway from Gujrat to Salim interchange had been completed with cost of four and half billion rupees.

In addition to that several link and farm to market roads were built and millions of rupees were spent on these projects, to facilitate public for their convenient journey and transportation. “Pakyaan sarkan tey soukhay pandey” In the dynamic leadership of Nawaz Sharif darkness was turned into light with opening new power projects.

He said during PPP government not even a single power project was installed and in 2013 it was acute power shortage. Within four and half year PML-N government worked hard day and night and set up new power plants to end power load shedding. He said KPK has beautiful mountains and water falls and it was easy to generate power by setting up hydel power plants. But Imran Niazi did not care to do that.

He said he indulges in blaming others, making false statement and playing Dharna politics and this he does to block development in the country. He said on the other hand PML-N government work and do service to public. He said condition of Sindh and Baluchistan is also the same where not a single megawatt power was added to grid during last five years.

He appealed to Lahore High Court to constitute a bench to hear cases relating to allegations Imran had leveled against him. Referring to Asif Zardari, he said he looted national wealth and purchased Surrey’s castle in London. He also shifted public exchequer to Switzerland.

He said if he is re-elected as Khadim e Ahla in 2018 he would recover the looted wealth from Zardari and spent the same on development of the country and public welfare. Speaking about Danish schools he said .35 million children are students in these schools who are provided uniforms, books, boarding facilities free of cost. These are the best schools where children of the poor after graduating have become doctors and officers now serving in different institutions.

He said these schools have vast playing grounds and are adequately equipped with teaching aids and furniture. He mentioned one of the PPP leaders from Mandi district who in collusion with Zardari misappropriated billions of rupees while serving in EOBI. He said voters should be aware of such bad character so called leaders.

He announced provision of a mobile hospital that would have doctors, nurses and other medical staff and would visit villages under a program to treat patients at their door step. He also announced upgrading of Government College of Technology Rasul to University of Engineering and Technology Rasul. He said he would again visit Mandi soon to inaugurate the university.

He also announced construction of road from Mandi Bahauddin to Dinga. He said his government had given heavy subsidy to farmers to improve their economy. He said he would ensure that sugar mills pay them fixed price for sugarcane.

He said he had already fired a mills manager for violating fixed price and would not spare any one paying less or indulging in any fraud with farmers. He said he would also improve court and police culture and committed to make Pakistan as it was dreamed by Quaid e Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah and Allama Muhammad Iqbal.

Before ending his address he asked participants of the meeting whom would they give vote in the coming general elections? The public announced with raising hands that they would cast votes in favor of Nawaz Sharif.

Earlier all parliamentarians from Mandi Bahauddin, Union councils and municipal committees chairmen and vice chairmen accorded warm welcome to the CM at his arrival.
