Lahore : The Punjab Food Authority and Punjab Sports Board joined hands to promote sports in Punjab and provide a platform to young sportsmen for showing off their hidden talent and skills in front of world.
In this regard, four days “1st Punjab Food Authority Amateur Squash Cup 2018” is going to be held from Friday (tomorrow) at Royal Palm and to be concluded on Jan 29. In which for than 100 children will participate across the country.
This was disclosed by Director General Noor ul Amin Mengal during addressed with media person in a Press Conference which held at Royal Palm Golf and Country Club on Thursday. Officials of Sports Board, office-bearers of squash association and representatives of sponsored partners have participated.
He said that it is a teaser for sports lovers added that our mega aim is to promote sports activities and games in Punjab by providing a platform to new players with the coordination of Punjab Sports Board.
He said that this is a social corporate responsibility of corporate sector to take part in the restoration of sports by sponsoring such events. He used termed talent hunt for this mega event for young players. Pakistan had ruled in squash game for several years but unfortunately declined was witnessed in this game in last several years for which we are trying to overcome on our weak points, he mentioned.
DG said that in next phase we will setup training camps for players for polishing them and enhance their talent and skills under the guidance of professional trainers.
