CM inspects Orange Line’s construction work from Thokar to Jain Mandir

Lahore : Chief Minister Punjab Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif paid surprise visit to the Orange Line Metro Train project early morning . He inspected construction work of the project and reviewed progress on civil, mechanical and electrical works.

The chief minister also inspected various stations of the project and reviewed pace of the work. He also visited underground station near Jain Mandir.

The chief minister reached Thokar Niaz Baig portion of the OLMT after offering Fajr prayers. He inspected the construction work till Jain Mandir.

Talking to contractors, staff and concerning officials at the site, the chief minister said they should leave no stone unturned to complete the project in time and pace of the work on the project should be further enhanced.

He said this project will provide international standard travelling facility to the common man therefore we should all compensate for the delay with hard work, determination and passion and this project will bring about revolution in the transport sector as students, labourers, working women, farmers, doctors, nurses and common citizens will reach their destination in time.

He said we are taking every step for the betterment of the people and this is unique project of its type that will provide honourable and modern travelling facility to the common man. He said this project will change transport culture and the common man will be able to reach their destination with honour and comfort.

He said this will be trend-setter project for the modern travelling facilities in Pakistan. He said this is the biggest and unique project of Pakistan’s history and this is the project of the whole Pakistan.

He said water should be sprinkled along the route of the under-construction OLMT route to keep commuter save from dust. He directed the CTO to make best efforts to provide alternate routes to citizens along under-construction OLMT route so that citizens do not face problems.

The chief minister was also given a briefing on the project during his visit. Chief Steering Committee on OLMT Khawaja Ahmed Hassan, MD Punjab Mass Transit Authority, Commissioner Lahore Division, DG LDA and Ahad Cheema were also present on the occasion.
