Motorway police enjoys an exceptional status : IG Capt (R) Arif Nawaz

Lahore : Inspector General, Punjab Police Capt. (R) Arif Nawaz Khan said motorway police enjoys an exceptional status among all police department of the world. The performance of NH&MP has always been as par excellence and its being increased many folds day by day.

He was addressing the closing the ceremony of 7th NH&MP Annual Sports Festival held at Sheikhupura. IG Motorway Police Dr. Syed kaleem Imam, Commandant Training College DIG Khalid Mahmood, DIG Central Mirza Faran Baig, Sector Commanders and other senior police officers were present on the occasion. N-5, Central Zone won the title of Best Zone by winning 10 Gold Medals each.

The central zone tug of war team also remains unbeaten throughout the festival. The central zone cricket players Muhammed Ashfaq also set a national record by hitting 9 exclusive sixes in 9 ball also a national record in a final match against training college.

IG Punjab Capt. (R) Arif Nawaz Khan said sports activities played vital role in the growth, formation and development of human life. He appreciated Commandant Training College DIG Khalid Mahmood for arranging such a successful event.

He further congratulated DIG Central Zone Mirza Faran Baig for being a commander of champion zone in 7th sports festival of NH&MP. IG assured the participation of Punjab Police in next sports festival of NH&MP.

IG Motorway Police Dr. Syed kaleem Imam said NH&MP is known not only in Pakistan but all over the world as courteous, honest and helping force. Human resource development played imperative role in the success of any organization while sports are also vital in their development. A sound mind is found in sound body and sports play a pivotal role in aligning human mind in right directions and help the forces to be active.

He said Sports is part of life and enjoying win is the spirit of game. He also acknowledges the efforts of IG Punjab to align the police on professional line against big challenges faced by it.

The IG Syed Kaleem Imam said the sport activities have always creates healthy competition in organizations. He further asked the participants’ sports man spirit strengthen the abilities of players. He said that sports activities always generate the environment of tolerance and the struggle to achieve the success.

Inspector General Syed Kaleem Imam NH&MP also congratulated the winning teams and appreciated the efforts of Commandant Training College DIG Khalid Mahmood for organizing the sports festival. IG NH&MP Dr. Syed kaleem Imam also congratulated central zone and DIG Mirza Faran Baig for being champion zone of 7^th sports festival.

Commandant Training College DIG Khalid Mahmood said sports activities are essential part of a human body whereas it is more essential in the forces and need regular feature to sports activities apart from professionalism.

He further said this sports festival has become cultural festival of Pakistan. The teams from Central, North, South, Central, Motorway, West Zones, Training College and Headquarters participated in the sports festival. In ten days long festival Cricket, Football, Tug of War, Basketball, Volley Ball, Shooting, Shot Put, Table Tennis, Badminton and Athletic competitions were held.

The Sector Commander SSP Kamran Adil stood first in 100 meter race of among NH&MP Sector Commanders.
