Lahore : Eid Milad-un-Nabi will be celebrated across province today with religious ferver. A special remission of two months has also announced for 50 prisoners after the payment of different fines.
On the direction of Chief Minister Punjab, Law Minister Rana Sanaullah while presiding special meeting has directed the administration to ensure foolproof security arrangements for Eid Milad-un-Nabi processions and other ceremonies in districts.
The meeting was attended by provincial minister Auqaf Zaeem Qadri, Chief Secretary, IG Police and other officials.
The meeting was directed to make proper security arrangements of Eid Milad-un-Nabi processions, water and other sabeel stalls. the meeting was told that besides provincial Seerat conference, competition of Na’at Khawani and Muhafil Tilawa’at Quran –e- Pak will be held in Chief Minister House.
The meeting was told about holding of Eid Milad-un-Nabi ceremonies in art councils and district offices of information dept. Meanwhile 50 prisoners are being released who were confined due to non payment of qisas, diyat, fine etc after payment of 75 lakh rupees from jails. on the occasion of Eid Milad-un-Nabi on the direction of Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif special remission of two months has also been announced for prisoners of different jails.
Special Pakwaan are also arranged in all jails for the prisoners on Eid Milad-un-Nabi.
The meeting was told that different government buildings are illuminated on Eid Milad-un-Nabi.
