British investors will setup hospital and medical college in Lahore Knowledge Park

Lahore : Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif presided over a high-level meeting, here today to review the proposal of setting up of a state-of-the-art hospital and medical college in Lahore Knowledge Park by the British investors.

Addressing the meeting, the Chief Minister reiterated that bringing improvements in healthcare facilities is his mission as access to qualitative healthcare facilities is the right of the people.

He said that Punjab government has introduced different reforms to improve the healthcare system and due to it, the same medicines are being given to the poor patients which are used by the elite. He said that every possible step is being taken for providing qualitative treatment to the poor patients in the Punjab.

He vowed that cooperation will be solicited from everywhere for providing qualitative healthcare facilities to the people in the hospitals. He said the proposal of setting up of a hospital and medical college in Lahore Knowledge Park by the British investors is good news.

He directed to constitute a committee under the Chairmen Planning & Development Department to finalize the details of this proposal. This committee will submit its recommendations within seven days.

Provincial Minister Syed Raza Ali Gillani, Advisor Dr. Umar Saif, Chief Secretary, SMBR, Chairman Lahore Knowledge Park Company, Secretaries of the line departments and high officials attended the meeting while Chairman P&D participated through the video link.
