Supreme Court to early hear JI petition seeking the accountability : Sirajul Haq

Lahore : Ameer, Jamaat e islami, Pakistan, Senator Sirajul Haq, has appealed  to the Supreme Court for early hearing of the JI petition seeking the accountability of the other 436 persons named in the Panama leaks besides the Sharif family. He was talking to a delegation of the Kisan Board Pakistan which called on him at Mansoora on Monday.

Sirajul Haq stressed that all those named in the Paradise leaks and those availing the remission of huge bank loans be also tried in order to make the homeland corruption free.

The JI chief further said that the judiciary would have to undertake a ruthless and indiscriminate accountability of the plunderers in order to preserve its image, dignity and public confidence.

He said that the primary issue of the country was the persistent hold of the feudal lords, capitalists and vaderas on the national politics. The ruling elite had established their own states within the state.

Sirajul Haq said that the tillers and the factory workers who toiled hard all the daylong were unable to meet both ends meet whereas the horses and pet dogs of the ruling elite were fed on milk and butter as was the worst form of exploitation and tyranny. He said that while the land holdings and factories of the feudal lords and the ruling elite was always on the increase, the poor masses were derived of the basic needs of life.

The JI chief said that the PPP and the PML(N) had been exploiting the masses for the last five decades during which the wealth of the rulers continued to increase although the economic position of the country became worse.

He said the government had been neglecting agriculture and there was no planning to enable the country’s products reach the world market.

India, he said, was busy in water aggression against this country and was blocking its share of river water in order to turn Pakistan into a desert. However, the ruling junta was blind to India’s designs.

Sirajul Haq said that the rulers did not have any plan to check rapid urbanization. He said if electricity, gas, water and roads were supplied in the villages, the trend of urbanization could be controlled to a great extent.
