PMA expressed concern at the poor functioning of PMDC

Lahore : PMDC should take notice of all the substandard and spurious medical colleges in the country.

This was unanimously resolved in a meeting chaired by Prof. Dr. Ashraf Nizami President PMA Centre, Dr. Sajjad Qaiser, Dr. Talha Sherwani, Dr. Izhar Ch., Prof. Dr. Ajmal Naqvi, Dr. Wajid Ali, Dr. Riaz Zulqurnain, Dr. Asma Yasin attended the meeting..

PMA expressed its deep concern at the poor and ineffective functioning of PMDC regarding the regulation of medical education in the country.

PMA is of the firm believed that if the PMDC has to close even the 50% of total medical colleges to maintain the standard of medical education it must be done, as it has been done in the USA in the past that is the main reason that today these institution are the best world over.

PMA urged the Prime Minister of Pakistan and Federal Minister for Health to take notice of PMDC attitude of selective actions against substandard medical colleges.
