MQM-P chief Farooq Sattar demands new province

Lahore : MQM-P chief Dr. Farooq Sattar took back his resignation after his mother urged him to not quit politics and forge unity within the ranks of the party.  MQM-P chief  was disappointed over the criticism he had received from MQM leaders after conducting a joint presser with Pak Sarzameen Party (PSP).

He announced to quit MQM and politics after lashing Mustafa Kamal and stating his services in hours long in crowded press conference.

MQM-P leader Dr Farooq Sattar  announced that he was leaving the party and politics respectfully.

“I will visit Shuhada Qubristan on Saturday after the culmination of Chehlum as nobody can stop me from going there,” Dr Farooq Sattar said.

“I want to announced that I am distancing myself from MQM-P and politics on the occasion of Chehlum of martyrs of Karbala,” he said as he left for his home. The MQM leader said that he won’t take back his resignation.

“People on social media may call it a drama, but let me assure that I won’t take back my decision.”

MQM leaders and workers surrounded Dr Farooq Sattar and pleaded with him to reconsider his decision to quit the party and politics.

Later ; Farooq Sattar emerged in front of media personnel with his mother and MQM-P leaders

Sattar’s mother took the microphone from him and urged him to take back his decision. Sattar announced to take the decision back to withdraw from politics which party workers cheered and celebrated by chanting slogans.He demanded the handing over of paty’s 100 offices and new province for Mohajir Community.
