151 students leave for China to learn Chinese language

Lahore : Punjab Minister for Higher Education Syed Raza Ali Gillani has said that Punjab Government has fulfilled its promise of sending 500 talented students to china on scholarship to learn Chinese language. It’s the 4th batch of 151 scholarship holders going to china tonight.

The Minister was addressing the farewell ceremony of 4th batch of scholars going to china to learn Chinese language, here at University of Education.

VC UOE Dr. Rauf e Azam, AS HED Ehsan Bhutta, Chairman and Secretary of BISE Lahore, DPI Collages and a large number of Students and Teachers were present on the occasion.

The Provincial Minister for Higher Education distributed laptops among all 151 scholarship holders. During his address the minister said that Pakistani students are more diligent and capable than students around the world.

He paid tribute to the parents who have allowed their daughters to go abroad for higher education.

The provincial minister said that the government has allocated 2.28 billion rupees for this important program related to CPEC.

Raza Ali Gillani said that CPEC will prove to be a game changer for only China and Pakistan but for the whole region. He asked the students to demonstrate Quaid e Azam’s message of Unity, Faith and Discipline in their behavior.

He said that our students will have to behave as Pakistan’s ambassadors and need to realize the world that Pakistanis are the best.

The Minister instructed the students to work hard on Chinese language during their 2 years’ stay there so that Chinese authorities accept Pakistan’s talent.

He said that only those nations prosper in the world which focus on hard work and positive attitude.

Mr. Gillani asked the scholarship holders to always believe that Pakistani are the best nation of the world and put all their efforts to enhance Pakistan’s position among the powers of this global world.

Later, Vice Chancellor University of Education Dr. Rauf Azam told that these students are selected after a long and cohesive process completely based on merit.

Besides written examinations and interview, medical tests were also been conducted.
