Lahore : ‘DFID’ UK Representative in Punjab Ms. Ruth Graham called on Central Leader of Pakistan Muslim League (N) and Member National Assembly Hamza Shahbaz, here in Lahore in which both exchanged views on mutual interest. In his talk Hamza Shahbaz appreciated bilateral relations between Pakistan and United Kingdom and expressed hope that in the coming days these ties would further be strengthened. He said that with the cooperation of ‘DFID’ many projects have been launched in Health and Education Sectors of Punjab which were reflecting positive results as well. Hamza Shahbaz said that especially in Punjab, Chief Minister Mohammad Shahbaz Sharif has taken personal interest to bring reforms in the Health and Education Sectors and a number of mega projects have been initiated. Hamza Shahbaz especially lauded the DFID Projects for Skill Development and vocational education and called it more beneficial for the young generation. He said that there is always room for bringing improvement but present government is working in the right direction and many issues including load-shedding would be solved by 2018. Hamza Shahbaz said that human resource is also important field and for real development this sector should be given more priority in future.
‘DFID’ Representative in Punjab Ms. Ruth Graham informed Hamza Shahbaz about different projects already in progress in Punjab Province. She said that vision of Chief Minister Punjab Mohammad Shahbaz Sharif is very clear who wants to bring sustainable and equal development in the province. She exchanged views on different matters and expressed his interest in the developmental projects of Punjab Government. ‘DFID” would keep on working for the uplift of social sector of Punjab, she added.
