CM suspends MS and Consultant Gynecologist of Tehsil Headquarters Hospital Raiwind

Lahore : Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif has taken strict notice of non-admission and failure in treatment of a pregnant woman in Tehsil Headquarters Hospital Raiwind and upon his direction, MS Dr. Amir Mufti has been suspended while the Consultant Gynecologist Dr. Asma Sarwar has also been suspended and removed from her post.

Meanwhile, LHV Sumaira Ramzan has been dismissed from service.

Departmental action will be initiated against the suspended MS and Gynecologist under the PEEDA Act.

The Chief Minister has said that cruelty has been committed by non-provision of treatment to a hapless expecting woman and added that responsible persons will have to be answerable for their negligence of duties.
