Lahore : Lahore High Court Rawalpindi bench has ordered to release the arrested DIG Saud Aziz and SP Khurram Shahzad , granting the bail in Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto murder case.
The division bench comprising Justice Muhammad Tariq Abbasi and Justice Habib Ullah Amir heard the bail petitions of former CPO Rawalpindi Saud Aziz and SP Rawal Town Khurram Shahzad.
The accused’s lawyer said that it was the duty of the SHO to provide security to former prime minister but he showed negligence. The senior officers can not be punished on the negligence of their subordinate.
The Anti Terrorist Court had sentenced them in Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto Murder Case and they were arrested from the court.
PPP lawyer Latif Khosa opposed the bail of the accused and demanded more punishment to the cops for highly deplorable policing by not conducting postmortem of Mohtaram and washing the crime scene without saving the evidences.
