Lahore : Ameer, Jamaat e Islami, Pakistan, Senator Siraj ul Haq, on Friday visited the Saudi embassy in Islamabad and greeted the newly appointed ambassador Nawaf bin Saeed al-Ma’lki, on assuming his office.
While expressing good wishes for the new Saudi envoy, the JIP chief said that the Haramain e Sharifain were sacred places for the Muslims all over the world. He said that conspiracies were going on against the Haramain e Sharifain and the entire Muslim world and the Ummah was being divided into pieces on different grounds. The blood of the Muslims was being shed in Kashmir, Palestine, Syria and Yemen. He said that the Ummah could face these conspiracies only by forging unity in its ranks.
Siraj ul Haq said that Saudi Arabia and Pakistan could play a leading role in the region through their unity and mutual harmony. He said that hundreds of thousands of Pakistanis working in Saudi Arabia were also a sign of close fraternal relations between the two countries.
The Saudi ambassador Nawaf bin Saaed al-Ma’laki said on the occasion that Saudi Arabia and Pakistan were like two bodies having a single soul and their friendship had stood the test of time.
JI deputy chief Mian Muhammad Aslam and Director JI Foreign Affairs, Abdul Ghaffar Aziz, were also present on the occasion.
